About This Service

Large-format commercial mirror installation is a different discipline than hanging a bathroom mirror. Commercial applications involve panels that can weigh 150 to 400 pounds, mounting hardware engineered to California seismic load requirements, and in gym and fitness environments, safety glazing standards under the California Building Code that mandate specific installation practices.

The most common commercial mirror projects we handle are gym and fitness studio walls — full floor-to-ceiling mirror runs across one or multiple walls of a workout space. Gym mirrors must comply with CBC Section 2406 safety glazing requirements in any area where people could contact the glass during exercise. We apply safety backing film to all gym mirror installations as standard practice, which contains glass fragments in the event of breakage and satisfies the code requirement for fitness facility installations.

Beyond gyms, we do hotel lobby feature mirrors, restaurant and bar accent mirror walls, retail fitting room mirror banks, and office branding walls with mirror panels. Each application has its own substrate, mounting, and finish requirements. Hotel installations require minimal visible hardware for aesthetic continuity. Restaurant and bar mirrors often involve decorative edge treatments — polished, beveled, or antiqued finishes.

  • Gym & fitness mirrors: Floor-to-ceiling mirror walls with safety backing film and commercial J-channel mounting systems.
  • Hotel & hospitality: Large lobby and corridor mirrors with concealed hardware for a clean, seamless appearance.
  • Restaurant & retail: Accent walls, fitting room banks, and decorative mirror panels with polished or beveled edges.
  • Office & corporate: Branding walls, conference room feature mirrors, and executive suite installations.

We measure, fabricate, and install — no third-party fabrication delays. All commercial installations include a site template visit to account for out-of-plumb walls and structural obstructions before cutting the glass.

Commercial mirror installation for gyms, hotels, and offices in Los Angeles and Southern California

What's Included

  • On-site measuring and template for precise panel sizing.
  • Safety backing film for all gym and fitness facility installations.
  • Commercial-grade mounting hardware — J-channel, clip-rail, or structural adhesive systems.
  • Custom edge treatments: polished, beveled, or pencil-ground edge options.
  • Multi-panel seamed installations for walls exceeding single-panel size limits.
  • Off-hours scheduling for operating businesses to minimize disruption.

Our Process

1
Site Measurement

We template the wall, check for plumb and square, identify the substrate type, and locate any structural obstructions — electrical, plumbing, or structural framing — that affect panel layout and mounting.

2
Fabrication

Panels are precision-cut and edge-finished in our shop. Safety backing film is applied to all gym and high-traffic panels before delivery. Multi-panel runs are numbered and staged in sequence.

3
Installation

Hardware is anchored to studs or substrate as appropriate. Panels are set in sequence, shimmed level, and secured. Seam alignment is checked across the full wall run.

4
Final Inspection & Cleanup

All panels are cleaned, seams are inspected, and the space is restored. For gyms and hospitality, we schedule off-hours completion walks with the facility manager.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. California Building Code Section 2406 requires safety glazing in commercial fitness facilities where mirrors are within 18 inches of the floor or located in areas where people could contact the glass during activity. We apply safety backing film to all commercial gym mirror installations as standard practice to contain glass fragments in the event of breakage and satisfy code requirements.
We fabricate mirrors up to approximately 96 inches by 130 inches as single panels, depending on glass thickness. For full gym walls exceeding these dimensions, we use a seamed multi-panel approach with minimal visible joints. The practical limit for a single-panel installation is typically around 60 square feet — determined by safe transport and two-person handling capability.
A standard gym mirror wall — 20 to 40 feet wide by floor-to-ceiling — is typically a two-day installation for a two-person crew. Day one is surface prep and layout; day two is panel installation and hardware finishing. Larger installations or complex multi-room projects run 3–5 days. We schedule during off-hours for operating gyms when possible to minimize class disruption.
Safety backing film is a clear adhesive film applied to the back face of mirror glass that holds fragments together in the event of breakage — similar in function to laminated glass but applied post-fabrication. It is required for gym and fitness facility mirrors under California code and is strongly recommended for any commercial mirror accessible to the public. We include it on all commercial fitness and high-traffic installations at no upcharge.
Commercial mirror installations use J-channel aluminum track at the base, clip-rail systems, or structural adhesive with mechanical backing hardware — not the mirror mastic and rosette clips typical of residential bathroom mirrors. The mounting method is chosen based on glass weight, panel size, wall substrate, and seismic considerations under California code. Large commercial panels require load-rated hardware rated for their full weight plus a safety factor.

Had some boutique mirrors done and the quality is great. Bryant was knowledgeable and professional. Highly recommend for any glass or mirror work.

The job was done well and professionally from start to finish. Our tenants were very happy with the results. Would definitely use again for future properties.

Responded quickly, arrived within days to measure, and finished ahead of schedule. The insulated tempered glass panels look perfect and the cleanup was thorough.

A friendly neighbor recommended them after seeing her beautiful bathroom. Was skeptical at first but the team was patient, elegant result, and they worked around my schedule perfectly.

I wasn't sure about going frameless at first but Frank and Bryant took the time to walk me through the design options. Solid work, looks exactly how I envisioned.

Got a mirror installed in the master bathroom and it turned out really nice. They offered 1/4-inch mirror, quality product, clean work. No issues at all.
